How to Wear a Gomed (Hessonite) Ring for Maximum Benefits

Gomed is known by many names : Hessonite, Cinnamon Stone, Rahu Ratna, Gomedh, Gomedhaka, Gomedak, Gomed Mani, Gomedakaya

Gomed, is a powerful gemstone associated with the planet Rahu in Vedic astrology. It is known for its ability to bring wealth, success, and relief from mental stress when worn correctly. Here are the guidelines for wearing a Gomed ring to maximize its astrological benefits:

Choosing the Right Gomed Stone

  1. Quality: Ensure the Gomed is natural and of high quality. It should be free of any visible cracks and inclusions. The color can range from honey-yellow to deep reddish-brown.
  2. Certification: Purchase from a reputable source and obtain a certificate of authenticity to verify that the gemstone is natural and untreated.  You can also buy it from us at reasonable price . Click here to buy

Setting the Gomed in a Ring

  1. Metal: The Gomed should ideally be set in silver, though it can also be set in panchdhatu (a traditional alloy of five metals).
  2. Design: Ensure the stone is open from the back so it touches your skin, allowing direct contact and maximizing its benefits.

When and How to Wear the Gomed Ring

  1. Day and Time: The best day to wear a Gomed ring is on a Saturday during the Rahu Kaal.
  2. Fingers: Wear the ring on the middle finger of your right hand.
  3. Preparation:
    • Cleanse the ring by dipping it in a mixture of holy water, milk, and honey. Rinse with clean water afterward.
    • Light a candle or incense stick and sit in a quiet place.
    • Recite the Rahu mantra 108 times to energize the stone. The mantra is:
      “Om Raam Rahave Namah”

Wearing the Ring

  • Procedure: Once energized, wear the ring on your middle finger. Ensure the gemstone touches your skin.
  • First Time: If wearing it for the first time, it is advisable to start on a waxing moon phase for better results.

Maintenance of the Gomed Ring

  1. Cleaning: Clean the ring regularly to keep it free of dirt and grime. Use a soft brush with mild soap and water, avoiding harsh chemicals.
  2. Re-energizing: Periodically re-energize the gemstone by repeating the mantra on a Saturday, especially during a Rahu Kaal.

Precautions

  1. Compatibility: Consult with an astrologer before wearing a Gomed ring, as it may not suit everyone and could have adverse effects if not suitable for your horoscope. You can also ask from our inhouse astrologer at Vedic crystals
