At Vedic Crystals (thevediccrystals.com), we offer a transparent and balanced Refund, Cancellation & Replacement framework. This policy is designed to protect both our customers and the integrity of the energised gemstones, custom jewelry and spiritual products we deliver.
Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By proceeding with checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms set out below. The policy in force at the date of your order placement shall govern that specific order.

1. Cancellation Policy (Pre-Shipment)
1.1 Cancellation within 24 hours of order placement
If you cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it — and provided we have not yet despatched the item or begun custom production — your entire amount will be refunded, less only the payment gateway charges (2% for domestic transactions via PhonePe / 5% for international transactions via PayPal, inclusive of 18% GST). These payment gateway charges are billed to us directly by the gateway and cannot be recovered. Refunds typically reflect in your account within 2–3 business days of processing.
1.2 Cancellation after 24 hours — Loose gemstones not yet shipped
If you wish to cancel a loose-gemstone order after 24 hours but before despatch, we will refund 100% of the gemstone value, less the applicable payment gateway charges and any paid certification charges already incurred (see Section 1.6).
1.3 Cancellation after 24 hours — Custom jewelry (rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, etc.)
Custom jewelry orders involve a specific stone being committed to your order, design specifications being locked in for you and karigar (craftsman) time being booked. If you cancel a custom jewelry order after 24 hours have elapsed, Vedic Crystals will retain a flat 25% making-charge deduction. The remaining 75% will be refunded to your original payment method, less the applicable payment gateway charge. This deduction applies regardless of how far the work has progressed, since the stone allocation and design lock-in occur at the start of production.
1.4 Once you have approved your gemstone in writing (WhatsApp, email or any written confirmation)
For custom jewelry orders, we typically share a photograph or video of the specific gemstone allocated to your order via WhatsApp or email before commencing work. Once you confirm your approval of that specific stone — by any written form including a "yes", "ok", "please proceed", a thumbs-up emoji, or equivalent — the order moves into custom production immediately. From the point of approval onwards, the 25% making-charge deduction in clause 1.3 applies, regardless of whether 24 hours have elapsed since order placement. This is because the approved stone is now spiritually and commercially committed to your order and cannot be re-sold to another customer who would have a different birth chart, hand size or design preference.
1.5 Partial-advance + balance-COD orders
If you have placed an order on a partial-advance + balance-COD basis and subsequently refuse to take delivery despite multiple attempts by our courier partner, your advance amount will not be refundable. This is because the order has already been despatched, forward shipping charges have been incurred, reverse shipping is now payable and the stone or jewelry has been customised or committed to you.
1.6 Paid certification upgrades (IGI / GIA / GJEPC)
If you have opted for a paid certification upgrade from IGI, GIA, GJEPC or any other independent gemological laboratory at the time of order, and the certification process has already been initiated by the lab, the certification fee paid will be non-refundable on cancellation. Independent labs do not refund certification fees once samples have been received. The complimentary in-house certificate we provide free of charge with most gemstones is not affected by this clause.
2. Return Policy (Post-Delivery)
We offer a 10-day return window on loose gemstones and rudraksha, and a 7-day return window on custom jewelry, from the date of delivery (as recorded by our courier partner), subject to the conditions and category-specific terms set out below. All return requests must be initiated by emailing contactus@thevediccrystals.com within the applicable window.
2.1 Conditions of eligibility
To be eligible for return under this policy, the product must satisfy all of the following:
- The item is in its original, unused condition with no signs of wear, polishing, resizing or modification by a third party.
- The item has not been damaged by impact, exposure to chemicals (including perfumes, cleaning agents and chlorine), prolonged water immersion of porous stones, or any attempted alteration.
- The item is accompanied by the original product certificate, original or copy of the tax invoice, original packaging, all documentation, any lab certificates received and any discount-coupon paperwork.
- The return request has been initiated within the applicable return window of delivery as recorded by our courier partner.
- Replacement and return are subject to inspection and verification by the Vedic Crystals quality team at our office.
2.2 Loose gemstones — 10-day no-questions-asked return
Loose gemstones may be returned within the 10-day window subject to the eligibility conditions above. We offer a no-questions-asked policy on loose gemstones — you do not need to provide a reason for the return. On approval:
- 100% of the gemstone value will be refunded to your original payment method.
- Forward and reverse shipping charges, customs duties, VAT/GST and payment gateway charges are not refundable, as these are paid by us to third parties (couriers, customs, payment gateways) and are not recoverable on return.
- Any paid lab certification charges (over and above the complimentary in-house certificate) are not refundable.
Note on "testing" a stone: If you are buying a gemstone primarily to test its effects, we strongly recommend purchasing a substitute or testing stone first. Most gemstones take several weeks to align with the wearer's aura and rarely show their full effects within the first 10 days. The 10-day return window is intended to address fit, defect or buyer's remorse — not to evaluate spiritual efficacy.
2.3 Custom jewelry — 7-day store credit return (rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets and other made-to-order pieces)
Custom jewelry cannot be returned for a cash refund. This is because:
- The stone has been energised, set and committed to you specifically.
- Other customers do not wish to purchase a gemstone previously worn by, or set for, someone else.
- Ring sizes, pendant lengths and design choices are personalised to you and are not transferable.
However, within the 7-day return window, you may request store credit worth 75% of the invoice value of the custom jewelry, usable against any future purchase on thevediccrystals.com per the store credit terms set out in Section 5. Forward and reverse shipping, customs duties, VAT/GST and payment gateway charges remain non-refundable.
2.4 Rudraksha beads, malas and energised yantras — 10-day return
Rudraksha beads, rudraksha malas and energised yantras (such as Shree Yantra, Maha Mrityunjaya Yantra, Kuber Yantra and others) are eligible for the 10-day return window subject to the eligibility conditions in Section 2.1, provided the energisation seal has not been broken. Once the energisation seal is broken or the item has been used in any ritual, it is non-returnable except in case of physical defect or proven authenticity dispute (see Section 4 — Replacement Policy). This is because these items are spiritually energised through Vedic mantras at the time of despatch and, once activated by the wearer or installer, are considered to have begun their energetic bond.
2.5 Astrological consultations and personalised reports
Live astrological consultations, written personalised reports, kundli analyses and any other digital deliverables are non-refundable once delivered, as the service has already been rendered. If a consultation is cancelled by you with more than 24 hours' notice before the scheduled time, you may reschedule the session at no extra cost within 30 days of the original booking.
3. Energised Stones — Special Clause
Many of our gemstones undergo a pran-pratishtha (energisation) ritual before despatch, either on customer request or as part of the product specification. Once a stone has been energised:
- It is spiritually committed to the customer it was energised for.
- It cannot be re-energised for, or sold to, another customer, in accordance with traditional Vedic practice.
- It is therefore non-returnable once worn or activated, except in the case of a verifiable physical defect or wrong-item dispute under Section 4.
If you specifically wish for your stone to be despatched without energisation, please make this request in writing at the time of order. Energisation, once performed, cannot be reversed for return purposes.
4. Replacement Policy (Damaged, Defective or Wrong Item Received)
4.1 Mandatory unboxing video
To claim a replacement for a damaged, defective or wrong item, you must provide an unboxing video showing:
- The sealed parcel as received, with all courier labels visible.
- The complete opening of the parcel from sealed state to fully unwrapped.
- The condition of the item immediately on opening.
The unboxing video must be a single, uninterrupted recording from sealed-parcel stage to the item being fully revealed. Without this video, we are unable to verify whether damage occurred in transit, was pre-existing, or occurred after delivery. Replacement claims without an unboxing video cannot be entertained.
4.2 What qualifies as a valid replacement claim
- Physical damage in transit — visible breakage, cracks, chipping or fracture of the gemstone or jewelry as evidenced in the unboxing video.
- Wrong item received — the item received is different from the item ordered (different stone species, different design, different ring size, different metal).
- Authenticity dispute — a verifiable claim that the stone delivered does not match the species, treatment or grade specified on the product certificate.
- Manufacturing defect — loose stone setting, broken clasp, faulty soldering or similar craftsmanship issues, evident within 7 days of delivery.
4.3 What does not qualify
- Damage caused by impact, chemical exposure, water immersion of porous stones, attempted resizing by a third-party jeweler, or any form of tampering.
- Natural inclusions, colour variations or surface texture variations inherent to natural gemstones — each natural stone is unique and minor variation is part of its character.
- Subjective dissatisfaction with the appearance, weight or "feel" of the stone where the stone matches the certificate provided.
- Change of mind, change of astrologer's recommendation, or change of personal circumstances unrelated to the product itself.
4.4 Inspection and independent arbitration
All replacement claims are subject to inspection and verification by the Vedic Crystals quality team within 7–10 business days of the returned item reaching our address. In case of an authenticity dispute, the stone may be sent for independent assessment to a recognised gemological laboratory (IGI, GIA, GJEPC or equivalent) at the customer's initial cost. If the customer's claim is upheld by the independent lab, the cost of independent assessment will be reimbursed by Vedic Crystals along with the replacement.
5. Store Credit Terms
Store credit issued under Section 2.3 (custom jewelry return) or under any other goodwill arrangement is subject to the following terms:
- Validity: 12 months from the date of issue. Unused store credit will lapse after 12 months and cannot be revived or reinstated.
- Minimum order value: None. Store credit may be used against any purchase amount.
- Transferability: Store credit is non-transferable and tied to the email and account of the original customer.
- Combinability: Store credit cannot be combined with discount coupons, promotional offers or sale-period discounts. Only one of the two may be applied per order.
- Exclusions: Store credit cannot be redeemed against live astrological consultations, paid certification upgrades (IGI / GIA / GJEPC) or any third-party-fulfilled service.
- No cash conversion: Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash, bank transfer, UPI or any other monetary instrument under any circumstances.
6. Return Process — How to Initiate
- Email us at contactus@thevediccrystals.com within the applicable window, with your order number, the reason for return, photographs of the item, and — for replacement claims — the unboxing video.
- Wait for return approval. Our team will review your request within 2–3 business days. If approved, we will share the return shipping address and a Return Authorisation Number (RAN).
- Do not send items back without prior approval. Items shipped back to us without a valid Return Authorisation Number will not be accepted and will be returned to sender at the sender's cost.
- Pack and ship using a reliable courier with tracking. Include the original packaging, certificates and all documentation. Return shipment is at the customer's cost.
- Packaging security note: For your own security, please do not write "Vedic Crystals," "gemstone," "jewelry" or any related words on the outside of the return package, as this may attract undue attention and risk of theft in transit.
- Inspection on receipt. Our team will inspect the returned item within 7–10 business days of receipt. You will be notified of the inspection outcome.
- Refund or store credit processing. Once approved, the refund will be initiated to your original payment method (or store credit will be issued, as applicable). Bank or card refunds may take an additional 5–10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. Refund Processing & Timelines
- Cancellation refunds: Initiated within 2–3 business days of cancellation approval. Reflect in your account within an additional 2–7 business days depending on payment method.
- Return refunds: Initiated within 7–10 business days of the returned item reaching us and clearing inspection. Reflect in your account within an additional 5–10 business days.
- Store credit: Issued instantly on return approval and linked to your registered email and account.
- UPI / direct transfer: Available at our discretion as a goodwill expedite, subject to documentation. Not a standard refund route.
8. Non-Refundable Components
In all return and cancellation scenarios, the following components are non-refundable as they are paid to third parties or have already been consumed:
- Payment gateway charges: 2% for domestic transactions (PhonePe), 5% for international transactions (PayPal). All such charges are inclusive of 18% GST and are billed to us directly by the gateway.
- Forward and reverse shipping charges (for non-defective returns).
- Customs duties, VAT, GST and import fees on international orders.
- Paid lab certification charges (IGI, GIA, GJEPC, etc.) once the certification process has been initiated.
- Live consultation fees once the consultation has been conducted.
- Energisation (pran-pratishtha) charges once performed, where applicable.
9. Special Scenarios
9.1 Gift orders
If you are sending a Vedic Crystals product as a gift, we strongly recommend that the recipient is aware of and has consented to the gift. While we empathise with the heartache of a gift not being accepted, we cannot accept returns of customised gifts (ring sizes, pendant designs, engraving, specific stone selections) where the customisation was done to your specifications. The recipient's differing taste, size or astrological recommendation does not constitute a valid return reason. Standard return terms apply only to non-customised gift items.
9.2 Change of astrologer or change of recommendation
We are unable to entertain returns on the grounds that "my astrologer has changed his recommendation" or "a new astrologer has advised against this stone." We understand spiritual journeys evolve, and we recommend confirming your astrological consultation with one trusted astrologer before placing your order. Such cases will be treated as voluntary cancellation or return under the standard timing-based clauses above, with no additional concession implied.
9.3 Health or spiritual reasons
We empathise deeply with customers who experience health issues or feel a spiritual disconnect after placing an order. In Vedic tradition, mild discomfort in the first few days after an energised gemstone enters one's life is often the stone beginning to interact with the wearer's aura, not a sign of rejection. We would gently encourage giving the stone a few days to settle. That said, such cases will be treated as voluntary cancellation or return under the standard timing-based clauses above, with no additional refund concession implied. Any goodwill exception granted is at the sole discretion of Vedic Crystals on a case-by-case basis and shall not constitute a precedent for future orders.
9.4 Partial-advance COD refusal
If you have placed a partial-advance + balance-COD order and refuse to take delivery despite multiple attempts by our courier partner, your advance amount will not be refundable, as covered in Section 1.5.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a customer initiates an unauthorised chargeback or payment dispute through their bank, card issuer or payment gateway despite the goods having been delivered as per the order, Vedic Crystals reserves the right to:
- Contest the dispute with full transaction documentation, despatch records, delivery confirmation and customer correspondence.
- Pursue civil recovery of the disputed amount, along with any chargeback fees levied on us.
- Report the matter to relevant authorities and credit bureaus, where applicable under law.
- Discontinue future service to the customer account.
If you are dissatisfied with your order, please raise the matter with us directly first by emailing contactus@thevediccrystals.com. We will always make a sincere attempt to resolve the issue before any external dispute is necessary.
11. Force Majeure
Vedic Crystals shall not be held liable for any delay, non-delivery, damage in transit or inability to honour the terms of this policy arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, courier-partner failures, customs holds, port strikes, lockdowns, or other force majeure events. In such cases, refunds or replacements will be processed on a best-effort basis once conditions normalise.
12. Policy Updates & Governance
Vedic Crystals reserves the right to amend, update or revise this Refund, Cancellation & Replacement Policy at any time without prior notice. The policy in force at the date of your order placement shall govern that specific order. We recommend reviewing this policy each time you place an order.
13. Jurisdiction & Disputes
This policy and all transactions on thevediccrystals.com are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this policy, including its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi NCR, India.

Frequently Asked Questions
I just placed my order an hour ago. Can I cancel and get a full refund?
Yes. If you cancel within 24 hours of placing the order and before custom production has begun, you will receive a full refund minus only the payment gateway charge (2% domestic / 5% international). Email contactus@thevediccrystals.com immediately with your order number.
I approved my stone on WhatsApp yesterday and now want to cancel. What happens?
Once you have approved the specific stone allocated to your order in any written form (WhatsApp, email, etc.), your order moves into custom production immediately. From that point, a 25% making-charge deduction applies even if 24 hours have not elapsed since order placement. See Section 1.4.
My gemstone arrived but I'm not feeling well since I received it. Can I return it for a full refund?
In Vedic tradition, mild discomfort in the first few days after an energised stone enters one's life is commonly understood as the stone beginning to interact with the aura, not a sign of rejection. We would gently encourage giving it a few days. If you still wish to return, standard return terms apply per Section 9.3.
My astrologer now says I shouldn't wear this stone. Can I get a refund?
Standard return terms apply per Section 9.2. A change in astrological recommendation is not, by itself, grounds for a special concession.
I want to send this as a gift. What if the recipient doesn't like it?
We strongly recommend that the recipient is aware of and has consented to the gift. Customised gifts (ring sizes, engraving, specific stone selections) cannot be returned on the grounds of the recipient's differing taste. See Section 9.1.
The parcel arrived damaged. How do I claim a replacement?
You will need an unboxing video showing the sealed parcel being opened in a single uninterrupted recording. Email contactus@thevediccrystals.com within 48 hours of delivery with the video, photographs and your order number. See Section 4.
How long is store credit valid?
12 months from the date of issue. See Section 5.
Can I use store credit on a consultation or a paid certification upgrade?
No. Store credit excludes live consultations and paid lab certifications. See Section 5.
Why are payment gateway charges non-refundable?
These charges (2% domestic / 5% international, inclusive of 18% GST) are billed to us directly by PhonePe or PayPal at the time of transaction and are not returned to us on refund. We therefore cannot pass them back to you.
I refused COD delivery. Will my advance be refunded?
No. Refused COD deliveries forfeit the advance amount as per Sections 1.5 and 9.4.
I bought a Rudraksha but want to return it. Is that possible?
Rudraksha beads and malas may be returned within 10 days provided the energisation seal has not been broken and the item has not been used in any ritual. See Section 2.4.
