What is a Lagna and Why It Matters
The lagna, or ascendant, is the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth. In Vedic astrology, it represents your physical body, personality, and life path — and crucially, the planet that rules your lagna is your most important planetary ally. Strengthening this ruling planet (your lagnesh) through gemstones, rudraksha, and puja brings the most direct, measurable benefit. Unlike sun-sign astrology — which assigns one of 12 signs to everyone based on a single month-long period — your lagna is precise: it changes every two hours, making it deeply personal.

The natal gemstone for any individual is determined by the lord of their lagna. For Aries and Scorpio ascendants ruled by Mars, Red Coral (Moonga) is the prescribed gemstone. Cancer ascendants ruled by Moon wear Pearl (Moti). Leo ascendants ruled by Sun wear Ruby (Manik). And so on for all 12 ascendants. Lucky Rudraksha as per Your Birth Chart
Each Mukhi (face) of a Rudraksha corresponds to a specific deity and planet. Wearing the Mukhi corresponding to your lagna lord aligns your body's subtle energy with your ruling planet. A 5 Mukhi Rudraksha for Jupiter (ruling Sagittarius and Pisces), 7 Mukhi for Saturn (Capricorn and Aquarius), 1 Mukhi for Sun (Leo), 2 Mukhi for Moon (Cancer), and so on. Is the Vedic Remedy Finder accurate?
Yes. The calculations use real astronomical ephemeris data — the same data used by traditional Vedic astrologers — computed in real time against your exact birth date, time, and location. The lagna-based recommendations follow classical Jyotisa principles.
What if I don't know my exact birth time?
Lagna calculations require birth time accurate to within a few minutes — the lagna changes roughly every two hours. If you don't know your time, our palmists can recommend your gemstone, rudraksha, and puja by reading photos of your palms (a 5,000-year-old method from Samudrika Shastra). Why is the recommendation based on Lagna, not Rashi or Sun Sign?
Lagna (the ascendant) represents your physical self and life path — the most personal of the three. Sun sign changes monthly, Rashi (moon sign) changes every 2-3 days, but lagna changes every two hours, making it precise to your individual birth.
