1. Begin on a Wednesday/Thursday or Janmashtami/Panchami, after a bath.
2. Place in the north-east, on a yellow cloth, near an image of Bal Gopal/Krishna.
3. Offer tulsi, yellow flowers, makhan-mishri, dhoop-deep.
4. Chant the Santan Gopal mantra daily (108×), ideally by the couple together.
